Solar Panels
One of the aspects of top consideration for solar panel installers is the “walkability” of a roof. This home was an ideal candidate for solar panel installation since it has a Class 4 impact resistant DaVinci Roofscapes composite shake roof. The durable roof can easily withstand the weight of both the installation team and the solar panels.
For years, homeowner Brian Cornell wanted solar panels on his roof. And Greenlink Energy Solutions kept turning him down. Why? Because he had real cedar shakes on his roof, which the company found to be too undependable. Only when Cornell had a new durable composite shake roof from DaVinci Roofscapes installed did the solar panel company agree to install the solar panels.
55 solar panels were added to this Arkansas home over DaVinci Roofscapes composite shake roofing. The solar contractor installed mechanical hardware around the roof tiles. Then, rails are installed horizontally on the roof. A track is set up on the rails and the solar panels go on the track, gathering the sun’s rays.
