GAF expands industry-leading community contractor program allowing contractors to provide added protection for families in need

GAF remains at the forefront of community impact, pairing high-performance roofing systems with donated warranty protection.

GAF, North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, has announced an expansion of the GAF Community Contractor Program, which now provides a complete roofing system and enhanced warranty coverage for all qualifying residential roofing systems that it donates. By providing strong warranty protection on donated residential roofing systems, GAF is providing families and community organizations with added long-term protection and peace of mind. 

The GAF Community Contractor Program empowers GAF-certified contractors to support nonprofit and community-based building initiatives in the areas they serve. Through the program, contractors identify local needs and GAF donates a full roofing system, technical resources and programmatic support. 

“The Community Contractor Program was created to give GAF-certified contractors a unique way to support the well-being of their neighbors,” said Jim Durkin, chief customer experience officer at GAF. “By expanding it to not only the materials for a complete roofing system but the added security of an enhanced warranty, we are further helping our contractors provide their communities with a roof that is backed by a leading roofing manufacturer.”

Since 2022, GAF has partnered with over 600 nonprofits nationwide, donating over 1,700 roofs - offering access to safe, durable housing to local homeowners and their families across the country. This work is part of GAF’s social impact initiative, GAF Community Matters, which is focused on making a positive difference as neighbors and partners in the community by leveraging roofing expertise, resources and products to help build resilient communities.
