Hi,

Have any of you recently replaced your roof in Illinois? I am curious how much it cost you in those times. I mean the materials and the cost for the contractor.

Thank you very much!

Hey there! I’m in northern Illinois and just had my roof replaced about six months ago. We went with architectural shingles and used a mid-size local contractor (not the cheapest, but well-reviewed). All in, it cost us around $14,000 for a 2,400 sq ft roof—that included tear-off, underlayment, ventilation, and disposal fees.

Material prices have been fluctuating a lot lately due to supply chain stuff, so I’d recommend getting at least 2-3 quotes. Also, ask about warranties and whether the price includes permits. Some contractors leave that part out.

Happy to share the company I used if you want a starting point. Hope that helps!

Hey!

I have gotten your point, I would like to say that the actual amount of roof replacement and repair depends upon the company we hire.

This is very difficult to say. How much is your budget?
