Are PVDF, SMP & Polyester paint systems typical for metal applications, and are they all considered to have a “Cool” rating?

The CRRC also uses a metric called the Solar Reflectance Index (SRI), which combines the SR and TE into a single value between 0 and 100. The higher the SRI, the lower the surface temperature and the higher the "Cool" rating. The CRRC provides a searchable directory of rated products on its website https://coolroofs.org

According to AEP Span:

Yes, those systems are the three most commonly used paint systems for metal applications. All three can be formulated with “Cool” pigments and should have published reflectivity and emissivity values from reputable manufacturers. AEP Span offers cool colors in PVDF and SMP paint systems. What differentiates one paint system from the other is weatherability. Chalk and fade resistance from a high-end coating such as Kynar is reduced when you go to a low end coating like Polyester.
