The Power of Good Marketing and Great Roofing Products

PABCO Good Marketing and Great Roofing Products
July 16, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.

By Evelyn Witterholt, RCS Reporter.

Learn from the owners of Omega Roofing the impact great marketing has had on their business.

Although they’ve only been in business for a few years, Omega Roofing has become incredibly successful in that short amount of time. Not only are they a PABCO preferred contractor, but the Idaho-based contracting company was recently featured in Grit & Greenlights, Matthew McConaughey’s series that highlights successful small businesses. While their business is small, their success is anything but.

Zach Sayles and Dylan Winmill, owners of Omega Roofing, recently spoke with us about their strategies for finding success and how PABCO Roofing Products has helped them along the way. Zach says that they primarily offer the PABCO Premier shingle to customers and their relationship with the manufacturer is fantastic.

“We just fell in love with the company and their culture,” Zach said. “We trust that if something does happen or anything goes wrong with those shingles, they're actually going to take care of that and own up to it.”

In terms of their marketing strategies, Omega Roofing saw a major boost in their business after being featured on Matthew McConaughey’s Grit & Greenlights series. Once the video was released, their local newspaper picked up the story as well and soon word spread around town like wildfire. They’ve even found that when they are knocking on doors for potential customers, the homeowners have already heard of them. Zach said, “It's so awesome to be able to kind of build that rapport with homeowners through that video and start our journey with that homeowner through that video.”

Another major marketing trend they are utilizing is search engine optimization (SEO). Rather than paying for advertising, an instant gratification strategy, Zach says they are spending a lot of time focusing on quality SEO for their various online platforms. “We want something that's super long term,” Zach said. “We put a ton of time and energy into the forefront of it. That's going to translate into years and years of business down the road. So, SEO for us is super important”
