Under the leadership of President Joel Shealey and CEO David Allen, BITEC is undergoing what Vice President of Sales and Marketing Shane Millwood calls a brand rebirth, strengthening their identity while expanding their product offerings for the commercial roofing market.
A major part of this evolution has been the rapid expansion of RepairBoss®, BITEC’s solution-driven product line designed specifically for commercial roof repairs.
RepairBoss is BITEC’s dedicated professional repair brand focused on providing reliable, lasting repairs that stand up to the challenges on the rooftop. The line emphasizes durable, high-performance formulations, including many single-component, high-solids products with strong adhesion across multiple substrates. Some offerings are even designed to cure on wet surfaces or underwater, making them valuable in emergency scenarios. When RepairBoss first appeared on BITEC’s website, the line consisted of only a few essentials – wallk pads, drain domes and a couple of flashing-grade repair products. But in building lasting relationships with contractors (a core part of the company’s philosophy), their understanding of service department needs has deepened. And the RepairBoss line expanded right along with it.
Shane notes that contractors tend to fall into two categories: those who want one go-to repair solution for almost everything, and those who prefer to match repair products to specific roof systems. With roughly 90% of BITEC customers running service departments, the company saw an opportunity to support both approaches through a more complete, purpose-built repair brand.
“We want to offer contractors the right solution to protect their name and their brand just as much as we protect ours,” Shane shared. BITEC’s long-term goal is straightforward: ensure contractors can use a RepairBoss product for virtually any commercial roof repair. As repair technologies and roofing systems evolve, the product family will continue to grow to match.
To support that growth, BITEC is preparing to launch repairboss.com by 2026 – a new platform where contractors can explore the full line and purchase products directly. Existing customers can continue ordering through traditional channels, but the new site will offer an easy entry point for first-time users while giving BITEC better visibility into product trends and customer needs.
“We want to learn who contractors are and what they do. If we can understand them first, then we can help them find the best solution,” Shane emphasized.
By unifying repair sealants, mastics, hardware and accessories under one cohesive brand, the company continues to strengthen its connection to the work you're doing in the field and provides a clear, reliable path for solving everyday repair challenges.
