Looking back at Amrize’s independent launch

Looking back at Amrize’s independent launch
December 20, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.

By Emma Peterson.

Join a panel of experts as they discuss how Amrize is redefining the roofing industry!

Over the summer, we saw Amrize break off from Holcim as an independent, publicly traded company. To learn more about this exciting new chapter, Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with a panel of key individuals within the Amrize family of brands for a Coffee Conversation episode. The panel included Kim Eckerman, VP of marketing and communications at Amrize; Nevin Holly, a representative from Elevate, an Amrize brand; and Charles Collins of Malarkey Roofing Products, an Amrize brand.

Kim highlighted Amrize’s extensive list of offerings, sharing, “We offer advanced building solutions from foundation to rooftop. We have cements, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, asphalt, concrete products and more across commercial roofing systems, residential roofing systems, wall systems, coatings, insulation, you name it.” And backing up those offerings is over 100-years of history in the North American market.

It is that history and dedication to the North American market that helped push Amrize onto the path of independence. Nevin explained, “As we think about the spinoff, Holcim is a global company that's focusing on all continents. This spinoff allows us to really focus and concentrate capital investments, whether that be through talent acquisition or innovation in the plants, on North American businesses, like Elevate and Malarkey.”

The result? A powerful network of support for contractors in North America that brings together the benefits of a large-scale business without losing localized connection to their contractors. Charles explained, “Here at Malarkey, we have such a tight bond with the contracting community and have been able to innovate specifically to help them. Being a part of the now independent Amrize is super exciting and a great way to continue that innovation and growth.”

Kim shared, “Each brand, like Elevate and Malarkey, plays its own distinct role. Amrize is a way to bring all that together in one portfolio so they can support each other and the unique, strong foundations they have built over more than 300 combined years...Together, as a part of the Amrize family of brands, they have the ability to use that combined power in research and development facilities, technological collaboration and more! The possibilities are endless for what we can do.”

Listen to the whole episode to learn more about Amrize’s launch as an independent company.
