Beacon From estimate to order: How this integration simplifies roofing workflows

The new partnership between Beacon and Leap revolutionizes material ordering to save contractors time and money. 

Make your ordering process seamless with this partnership between Beacon Building Products and Leap! Through this partnership, you can access live pricing and direct ordering of Beacon products from within Leap’s all-in-one contractor business platform. Beacon is one of the largest commercial and residential roofing distributors in the U.S. and accessing their library of products through Leap’s CRM allows you to create custom templates and more.  

Not only does this make your workflow more efficient and cohesive, but the live pricing factor eliminates common pricing errors, meaning you don’t have to worry about underselling a job or offering materials that are not available by accident! And when the contract has been signed, you can move forward in the same place, using the Leap CRM to generate material lists and place orders. Katy Rebernak, Beacon’s director of eCommerce, shared a few thoughts on the collaboration, saying, “The Beacon x Leap integration helps contractors save time by turning proposals into material orders in minutes. Every order placed using this integration is triple checked for accurate, complete delivery by the local Beacon team. Contractors know they’re getting the best when they use Leap to order from Beacon.” 

This powerful partnership is also incredibly user friendly! Here’s what it would look like to get started:  

  1. Connect your Beacon Pro+ account to your Leap account! 
  2. Once the accounts are linked, you can start building out your Beacon Macros. These are worksheet templates that come pre-filled with line items. Building these templates for your frequent job scenarios will make building workshops in the next step much easier. 
  3. Once the Macros are built out, you can apply the set of templated items to an estimate worksheet, which will be the launching point for the entire project.  
  4. After you’ve made the estimate worksheet using items supplied by Beacon, you can generate a Document (like a proposal) from that.  
  5. Once the Document is signed you can then generate the material list and a Beacon Order Form which will allow you to place your order directly within Leap.
