Building prosperous relationships with ROOFPRO

An industry leader breaks down barriers to connect roofers, partners and homeowners. 

When it comes to roofing, relationships are everything. One person who knows this all too well is Jack Gottesman, marketing services and loyalty program director of IKO Industries. In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with Jack to discuss IKO’s newest products and upgraded services, including ROOFPRO.  

ROOFPRO is a loyalty program that gathers a wide-ranging network of roofers and establishes trusting relationships between these contractors with homeowners. Members receive rebates, educational resources, insider newsletters and partner discounts, to name a few benefits. 

“I kind of view it as a dating website,” Jack explained. “There's a profile, there's a picture, there's information. The roofer and homeowner are able to ask closing questions to each other as opposed to getting-to-know-you questions. So we really view ourselves as the player that's going to enable and empower both sides and bring them together to find mutual success.” 

Taking inspiration from dating apps is just one way IKO has innovated to provide for their contractors. In 2024, IKO further built their ROOFPRO program to connect contractors to more roofing industry partners with a diverse array of services, including IKO competitors. 

Jack stated, “The internet is really powering its way through our industry, and it is awesome to see the work not only that IKO's done — we're inspired by our competition. Some of our competition are doing great things that keep us on our toes, which is important. That's what it's all about. The rising tide lifts all ships.” 

And that rising tide is exactly what Jack aims for ROOFPRO to be as they continue to grow with more homeowner enrollment and contractor partnerships. 

“I know very well that I can work with my team to build the best ROOFPRO program on the planet,” Jack shared. “If there is a challenge, and in life there are challenges, going to have someone on the other side of the phone from the manufacturing rep side. That's the opportunity for ROOFPRO to come in and thrive.”
