Q: How does InvoiceIQ help contractors verify supplier pricing?

“Once it got up to $40 million, the only thing I could do to combat not having the team check invoices was to just check my P&Ls. How much money was I making on each house I was building, each building I was building? That generally made my anxiety go down.”

Q: Why should contractors pay attention to smaller material charges?

But overcharges on smaller materials can be just as damaging when those items are purchased repeatedly across many jobs. 

“He started raising the price on 25-cent fittings and things like that, which, when you consolidate the whole account, is 80% of what you’re actually paying, not a $3,500 boiler or a $5,000 boiler.” 

Contractors may naturally focus on expensive equipment or more obvious line items, but smaller charges can carry just as much risk when they escape review. Over time, even minor overcharges can compound across an account and turn into meaningful lost revenue.
