Learn how the event delivered strong networking, education and business opportunities for roofing professionals.

The Colorado Roofing Association (CRA) show reinforced its position as a cornerstone regional event, bringing together contractors, manufacturers and industry organizations for one of its largest gatherings to date. This year’s show was defined by record attendance, an expanded trade floor and a steady pace of meaningful connections that translated into real business opportunities.

That growth was immediately evident to attendees. The Coffee Shops™ (TCS) Multimedia Producer Zane Deluccie described the event as the biggest CRA show yet, emphasizing the value of reconnecting with industry partners such as TRA Snow & Sun and National Women in Roofing (NWIR). Even outdoor exhibits drew attention, with Rocket Equipment’s Trash Rocket standing out despite temperatures dropping below 40 degrees. Throughout the event, Zane noted, “We met plenty of great contractors who were interested in what we stood to offer. Our floor team talked to a number of existing clients and our booth wrangled a series of leads.”

The scale of the show also shaped the experience on the floor. TCS Podcast Producer Adam Cabrera said, “It turned out to be much larger than I expected going in. There were a ton of exhibitors and the show had great turn out.” With a large number of exhibitors spread across multiple warehouse spaces the layout created continuous foot traffic, giving the team opportunities to introduce TCS to new audiences while building interest among contractors who were previously unfamiliar with the platform.

For TCS Multimedia Manager Megan Ellsworth, the event’s momentum was most visible in both participation and energy. “It was the biggest year attendance wise that I've been to with about 2000 people in attendance,” as Megan described an environment that remained active from start to finish where she conducted interviews with companies including FlashCo, Brava Roof Tile, TRA Snow & Sun, Owens Corning® and GAF, along with organizations such as Duro-Last® and Latinos En Roofing. Her conversation with Amparo from Latinos En Roofing, attending for the first time, highlighted the growing influence of the Colorado market.

Megan also supported the NWIR Denver/Northern Colorado chapter booth, which saw steady traffic and new member signups throughout the event. Alongside well-attended educational sessions and upcoming programming, including a March 18 Lunch and Learn, the show reflected continued growth and opportunity across the Colorado roofing industry.

At IRE, FlashCo showcased products designed to save contractors time and discussed the company’s positive trajectory for 2026.

On the International Roofing Expo trade show floor, Dani Sheehan stopped by the busy FlashCo booth to chat with Colin Albue, the Midwest Regional Sales Manager, about the company’s latest products and upcoming developments.

One of the products Colin highlighted was their X-top vents. “X-Tops provide really good air flow and are available in multiple sizes,” he stated. “They come with PVC or TPO attachments, which help contractors get on and off the roof quickly.”

This theme of speed continued at FlashCo’s “FlashCap® Challenge”, which invited IRE participants to test their roofing knowledge and guess which flashing product is the fastest to install. The fastest installation was FlashCo’s ready-to-install FlashCap, which was installed in just 1 minute and 40 seconds.

“Our motto is saving the contractor time, and that's been something that our owner has stuck to for the past 26 years,” Colin shared. “We’re always trying to provide new solutions and add value to our contractors. It's been very fun to be a part of.”

Another way FlashCo is working to add value to contractors is through the development of their new conduit box. “The goal of the conduit box is to compete with the new data centers,” Colin explained. “Instead of having a rat’s nest of cords and wires, all contents will be stored neatly inside the box.’

This year, FlashCo is gearing up to take on even more aggressive growth. “In 2026, we are doubling our sales team. They will be focused on fewer states, allowing them to better service focused areas,” Colin expressed. “This is one of the years that everyone's very excited about; it’s palpable. We're ready to go.”

Designed for TPO and PVC systems, Walkway Rolls help extend membrane life and improve rooftop safety.

High foot traffic is one of the fastest ways to shorten the life of a low-slope roof. Service paths to HVAC units, drains, and access points can lead to membrane wear, punctures, and safety concerns if not properly protected. FlashCo addresses this challenge with their Walkway Rolls, designed to help contractors safeguard roofing systems while creating safe, clearly defined walking areas.

FlashCo’s TPO and PVC Walkway Rolls are engineered to reduce damage caused by routine maintenance activity on commercial roofs. Installed as designated pathways, these walkways help preserve membrane integrity in critical areas where technicians frequently travel. Available for both TPO and PVC roofing systems, Walkway Rolls can be added to new or existing roof installations to provide long-term protection without increasing maintenance demands.

Installation

FlashCo’s Walkway Rolls should be installed in accordance with the recommendations and specifications of the roofing material manufacturer.

1 - Prepare all welding surfaces by cleaning with membrane cleaner.

2 - Place walkway in the desired location using a maximum length of 10 feet.

3 - Position pieces with a minimum 1” to 6” gap between pieces to allow for water drainage.

4 - Heat weld walkway to deck membrane.

5 - After the walkway has cooled, probe welds to verify a secure bond.

Features and benefits

Embossed pattern for increased slip resistance

Smooth edges for easier welding

Adds puncture resistance to areas where workers perform maintenance

Available in yellow, gray or white

Saving the contractor time

FlashCo’s brand promise is speed, shipping 90% of orders within three days.

24/7/365 Online contractor portal and additional time-saving tools

FlashCo’s X-Top Roof Vent is built to make life easier for roofers working on single-ply low slope roofing systems. This prefabricated exhaust vent is designed for non-heated ventilation and ships ready to install in minutes, with no field fabrication needed.

The vent includes a galvanized steel sub-base that meets the typical eight-inch height requirement for low slope roofs. The flashing is made from a factory-welded reinforced membrane with a three-inch weldable flange offering a solid, leak-resistant seal. The real standout is the X-shaped hood made from membrane-coated steel which perfectly matches the TPO membrane color, available in white, tan, gray, slate gray and dark bronze. *Note: slate gray and dark bronze are TPO-only.

X-Top vents come with a 1/8-inch galvanized wire mesh to keep critters and debris out. For dryer exhausts, FlashCo recommends their EZ Flapper.

Sizes come in four, six and eight inches, so contractors can pick what fits each job. The vent is designed to block wind while letting air flow freely helping roofs breathe. Plus, the removable top makes maintenance a breeze.

Beyond ventilation, the X-Top helps extend a roof’s life by improving airflow to control moisture and heat buildup. FlashCo backs their product with fast shipping and an online contractor portal so you get what you need when you need it, saving time on the job.

Learn about the industry’s first X-Top exhaust vent.

FlashCo is an industry leader in prefabricated and premolded roofing accessories. As one of the largest manufacturers of roof flashings and accessories, FlashCo serves roofing contractors, distributors and other manufacturers across the United States.

This year, FlashCo is celebrating its 25th anniversary by giving their customers a present: a new shape for their roof vent line. Joining the EZ Flapper and T-Top exhaust vents, the X-Top exhaust vent provides another option to meet the unique needs of single-ply, low-slope roofing systems.

While the EZ Flapper is recommended for dryer vent applications and the T-Top specializes in preventing water from infiltrating a structure, FlashCo’s X-Top is an exhaust vent designed to block out high winds while allowing for non-heated exhaust ventilation. Its internal screens keep insects and other debris out of ventilated areas. FlashCo’s X-Top TPO flashing is a factory-welded reinforced membrane and has a three-inch weldable flange. The X-shaped hood is made of SMP painted steel, closely matching the color of the TPO.

The X-Top eliminates field fabrication and boasts quick installation. In addition, its removeable top makes for straightforward maintenance and the product comes with FlashCo’s well-known superior customer service, saving contractors time and headaches.

X-Tops come in three standard sizes: four inches, six inches and eight inches. Customers can choose from five standard TPO colors: white, gray, tan, slate gray and dark bronze, and three standard PVC colors: white, gray and tan.

Rick Morrow, who launched FlashCo’s Woodland, Washington plant in 2004, noted the company’s expanding footprint and ambitions north of the border. While the brand is already known in the States for private labeling with major manufacturers, its presence in Canada is still developing. That’s something FlashCo aims to change. The company’s presence at the expo wasn’t just about introductions. It also spotlighted two celebrations taking place at the company's Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania location: the grand opening of their largest facility and their 25th anniversary open house.

At the center of the expansion in Pennsylvania is a newly built lamination line, reportedly the first of its kind constructed in the U.S. since the 1950s. “It’s a pretty big deal,” Rick said. “It’s going to make things a lot more efficient and really help our customers by reducing lead times.” That matters, especially to Canadian distributors and contractors. As Rick noted, “90% of our products ship within three days.” For Canadian clients, the proximity to Pennsylvania could translate to faster deliveries and stronger partnerships.

FlashCo’s approach to reaching more Canadian customers is rooted in more than logistics, though. Rick spoke about the warm reception he experienced during a visit to a Toronto Blue Jays game. “The friendliness was overwhelming,” he said. That same tone has carried over to conversations at the expo, where FlashCo has reconnected with U.S. partners and opened discussions with new Canadian distributors.

From one facility to nine in two decades and now a major push into international markets, FlashCo is positioning itself not only as a durable brand in roofing accessories, but one that’s building for the future.

On June 13, 2025, Roofline held their annual Fastest Roofer competition!

This year, some of The Coffee Shops™ crew got the chance to visit Roofline Supply and Delivery’s Bend, Oregon facility to see the 2025 Fastest Roofer competition firsthand! The competition, which kicked off at 7:00 a.m. on June 13, 2025, is a great opportunity for local contractors and professionals to come together for some friendly competition.

Amy Cashman, territory manager for Roofline Supply in Bend, shared, “We like to feature all of our local roofers here in Central Oregon, invite them onto our property and feature a contest to show off their skills. We also invite all of our manufacturers so that they can get some face time with the installers and the owners of many of the installers here in Central Oregon. It's our way of demonstrating our appreciation for their support here at Roofline.”

One of our crew members, Alex Tolle, shared a bit about attending, saying, “It was really interesting. I've seen a lot of shingle competitions at different trade shows and they usually just put the shingles on and then they’re done. But for this one, they had to put it on, tear it off and clean it all up.” Each roofer works differently, some install four nails for a shingle while others might use six, so in having the tear off and cleanup as part of the competition they’re taking off their own work and getting the mockup prepped for the next competitor. And the competition mimics the whole process of working on an actual reroofing job that requires tear off, install and clean up – just at a faster speed! Some roofers will use four nails for a shingle some will use six so if someone's following a roofer that uses six nails per shingle having to tear that off that's not that's not very fair so we make sure that whoever's installing whatever the protocol is they've got to come in behind themselves and tear that roof off and clean it off for the next installer

As for the rest of the event, which featured 26 different vendors and catering by El Sancho, it was full of fun and community. The Coffee Shops shared a booth with National Women In Roofing and we spotted some of our other friends there, like Gibraltar Building Accessories, RoofHub, Brava Roof Tile, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, Malarkey Roofing Products, FlashCo and GAF! Alex added, “I grew up in Central Oregon, so it was cool to support my local roofing community.”

And at the end of the day, there were three roofers who came out on top and won some cash prizes. Kevin from Next Level Roofing took first place, with Stan, also of Next Level Roofing, and Jose, from Ortiz Precise Roofing, taking second and third respectively!
